About Me
I have extensive experience in the Counselling / Psychotherapy field working with people of all ages and backgrounds on a wider variety of issues. I have worked in further / higher education settings and private practice in the USA, UK and Japan. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in the IT and education sectors.
I trained in an integrative model that incorporates all of the major Counselling / Psychotherapy approaches (brief solution focused, CBT, client-centred, humanistic, existential, and psychodynamic). As such, I draw upon the best of each of these traditions to help you help yourself in an efficient and timely manner.
My approach toward Counselling / Psychotherapy is forward-looking and action orientated. This approach recognises that life can be difficult and that suffering is a part of what it means to be human but views pain and difficulties as opportunities to grow and change. Changes in behaviour and / or perspective can help you lead a more meaningful, satisfying and authentic life. I am passionate about helping people find meaning in their lives, embracing their humanity and reaching their potential!
